Where does the time go?

Since the A to Z challenge ended, I’ve pretty much neglected my blog (other than a few mini posts shared from elsewhere!).

I’ve also ignored my reading list, which is something I never thought I’d ever say.

But, it’s true … and the reason for this change in habit is partly due to the temptation of the pool on these hot, sunny days…

and  partly due to a renewed faith in my own novels!!!

Yay! At last – a breakthrough!  🙂

So, now I’m typing away, trying to recall the great ideas that keep occurring in my dreams!

Of course, I’m then finding that I can only remember snippets and so end up taking another ‘u’ turn and creating yet more subplots.

I know a lot of it will be deleted at some later point, but it’s wonderful to have the rush of ideas again and the desire to follow through and finish the story.

Anyway, my kindle needed  recharging, so I’m not really neglecting it, just making better use of my time.

And, as for the blog , well this post counts – doesn’t it?

Maybe I did actually learn something from the A to Z challenge after all!

🙂

Dreams can come true and mine was to live in Spain forever and ever .... Well, after studying languages many years ago I became totally enamoured with all things Spanish, I finally made the big move for a more 'relaxed' lifestyle in 2003. Since then, I have been teaching Spanish to Ex-pats and translating. Also, I trained as a Community Manager (Social Media) so that I have a genuine excuse to be on Facebook, Twitter and the Internet for hours on end, but then I started to write. My first attempt was for NaNo 2012 with 'The Nasrid Charm' (a story set in Spain and the Afterlife.) Like most first drafts, this is in need of serious revision and has been placed on the backburner, while I pursue my mystery stories. I'll get back to it - one day :)
